In Daisen, western Tottori, explore the approaches to Daisen-ji Temple and Ogamiyama Shrine's Okunomiya, Mukibanda's archaeological site and Nawa Shrine from coast to mountain. Add soba, seafood and a stay to the mountain scenery and history. The mountain shrines and coastal historic sites are far apart, so choose your route on the map.

Recommended sights

Daisen-ji Temple and the approach to Ogamiyama Shrine Okunomiya form a walkable cluster. Visiting Mukibanda Ruins or Nawa Shrine requires separate travel toward the coast. A shrine-path walk and a summit hike need different amounts of time and equipment; choose your itinerary to suit the weather and your fitness.
