Rainy-day sightseeing in Yonago and Sakaiminato

Mizuki Shigeru Museum after its 2024 renovation

Rainy-day sightseeing in Yonago and Sakaiminato

Compare indoor yokai culture, flowers viewed from covered walkways and day-use hot spring baths. Even with an indoor destination, journeys from stations and some areas within parks may be outdoors.

Events for your travel date

Explore yokai culture indoors

Choose Mizuki Shigeru Museum when you can set aside time to read its indoor exhibits. Mizuki Shigeru Road is outdoors, so adjust your walk along the street to the rain and plan museum time separately.

Covered walkways and outdoor flower beds

Tottori Hanakairo has a covered viewing walkway and a greenhouse, as well as outdoor flower beds. Do not assume the entire park is sheltered from rain. Use the park map to choose the flowers and walking sections you want to see that day.

Choose a bath in Kaike

Choose day-use bathing at Kaike Onsen according to each facility's reception and opening arrangements. Walking along the coast or through the hot spring town has different conditions from using a bath. On rainy or windy days, shorten your outdoor plans.
