Fireworks and summer festivals in San'in
Choose a summer destination by its setting, from Matsue Suigosai on Lake Shinji to the Minato Festival in Sakaiminato. Plan fireworks viewing separately from town festivities, checking current-year seating, traffic restrictions and return transport.

Check viewing areas and return transport
Check paid seating, traffic restrictions and extra transport services each year. Parks and lakeside areas that are normally accessible may have different access conditions during event preparations or on event days.
Matsue Suigosai may announce its dates before publishing full details. Even once dates are confirmed, use traffic maps and ticket conditions for the same year rather than the previous edition. Sakaiminato's festival venues can also change, so check that year's map.
