The Iwami Ginzan World Heritage Center introduces the silver mine's history. Exhibition viewing is scheduled to be suspended from October 1, 2026 through the end of March 2027 for renewal work. Distinguish visitor information services from exhibitions open for viewing.
Sights
Visiting during construction
Exhibition rooms and some other areas are closed, but visitor information, toilets and sales services remain available. Check official announcements for reopening dates.
The town and mine tunnel are separate destinations
Omori's historic streets and Ryugenji Mabu are not exhibitions inside the center. Check transport and visiting conditions for each destination.

【展示室観覧休止】2026年10月1日～2027年3月（予定）は展示更新工事で有料展示室に入場できません。通常は石見銀山の歴史や採掘・精錬技術を映像と模型で紹介。観光案内、トイレ、物販等は工事期間も利用可能。
