Misasa lies in the mountains of central Tottori. Walk through the hot-spring town beside the Mitoku River, enjoy footbaths or visit a string-instrument museum. A pilgrimage hike on Mount Mitoku needs a separate plan from a town walk; combine your day with local events and bathing times.

Reaching the cliffside National Treasure Nageiredo requires a pilgrimage hike on a steep ascetic trail. Entry requires at least two people and suitable footwear; climbing is not possible in severe weather or snow. Without hiking, enjoy the main hall area or worship from below.

4Kabuyu public bath

A public bath slightly away from the hot spring town center, regarded as the birthplace of Misasa Onsen. Foot baths and a drinking-spring area make it a destination for a bath tour. Combine it with a riverside walk, and check official opening and closure information before departure.
