- Osaka → Kurayoshi: About 3 hr 10 min (Direct Super Hakuto limited express)
- Okayama → Kurayoshi: About 2 hr 50 min (Local train and Super Hakuto limited express (transfer at Kamigori))
- Nagoya → Kurayoshi: About 4 hr (Shinkansen and Super Hakuto limited express (transfer at Himeji))
- Hakata → Kurayoshi: About 4 hr 50 min (Shinkansen and Super Hakuto limited express (two transfers))
- Tokyo → Kurayoshi: About 6 hr (Shinkansen and Super Hakuto limited express (transfer at Himeji))
The Super Hakuto runs directly from Osaka and Kyoto to its terminus, Kurayoshi. From Tokyo or Nagoya, take the Shinkansen to Himeji and transfer to the Super Hakuto. Another route from Okayama uses the Yakumo to Yonago, then the San-in Line back toward Kurayoshi.

Nihon Kotsu highway buses run from Osaka (Namba and Shin-Osaka) and Kobe; Chutetsu and Hinomaru buses run from Okayama. Some services go via Misasa Onsen.

From Kurayoshi Station, take a bus toward the town center to Akagawara/Shirakabe Dozo (about 12 minutes), followed by a short walk. Note that the station is some distance from the historic center. Destination: Kurayoshi White-Walled Storehouses (Akagawara area).

Take a bus bound for Mitokusan Parking to the trail entrance. The pilgrimage hike to Nageiredo takes about 1.5–2 hours round trip; registration is from 8:00 to 15:00. Solo entry is not permitted. Destination: Mount Mitoku trail entrance (Sanbutsuji Temple).

Take a JR train to Yura Station, also known as Conan Station (about 10 minutes), then walk along Conan Street for about 20 minutes. Destination: Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory.
