From Tottori Airport to Tottori Station and the sand dunes

Change buses at Tottori Station

There is no direct bus from Tottori Airport to the dunes. Take the airport bus to Tottori Station, then change to a bus towards the dunes. The official estimate for the airport–station leg is about 20 minutes and ¥480; add time to wait for your connection.

Travelling directly to the dunes

Consider a taxi or rental car if you want to go straight from the airport to the dunes. The official taxi estimate is about 15 minutes, depending on traffic. The dunes entrance, Sand Museum and Kodomo-no-Kuni have different drop-off points.

Continuing your journey after landing

After collecting your luggage, check the airport bus stop and destination. Connections at the station are not guaranteed as part of your flight. Check the official ticket instructions for your bus, including airport ticket machines and digital tickets.

Allow time for airport procedures on your return

For the return from the dunes to the airport, check each timetable for the journey via Tottori Station. If going directly by car, allow time to book a taxi or return your rental. Add baggage and security time rather than relying only on the outward journey time.
