Route 39 (Tottori Sakyu) leaves from stand 0 at Tottori Bus Terminal; routes 32 and 33 (Iwami–Iwai) leave from stand 3 towards the dunes. Stops vary by route, so check before boarding. On regular buses, board at the rear, take a numbered ticket and pay when you get off.

Use different stops for the dunes entrance and museum
Use Sakyu Kaikan (Tottori Sakyu) for the dunes entrance, Suna no Bijutsukan-mae for the museum, and Sakyu Center Tenbodai if taking the chairlift. Do not confuse these with other routes stopping at Sakyu Higashiguchi; choose a stop that suits where you want to walk.

A loop bus on weekends and holidays
Loop Kirinjishi departs from stand 0 on weekends and public holidays. It visits other attractions after the dunes, so the return route and journey time may differ from your outward trip. Do not assume it runs on weekdays; check operating days and the order of stops.
