Explore Izumo Taisha's grounds, the approximately 700 m Shinmon-dori approach and Inasa Beach to the west. Plan your shrine visit, town walk and beach journey separately to suit the weather and time available.

The worship hall and kagura hall are separate buildings. Distinguish shrine visits from amulet sales and prayer reception, and use the official grounds map to check accessible areas.

Walk along Shinmon-doriAn approximately 700 m shrine approach
The main approach runs from the large torii at Ugabashi to the front gate. Restaurants and souvenir shops have their own opening times, so choose stops before or after your shrine visit.

Head to Inasa BeachWest of the shrine
Inasa Beach is approximately 1 km west of the shrine. Allow time for the return trip and decide whether to walk or use other transport. Hinomisaki requires a further, separate journey.
