Reserve a seat and plan onward travel
All Yakumo seats are reserved. Select your date and train when booking, and check for delays or cancellations before departure. Izumoshi Station is not at Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine, so plan the last part of your journey too.
Kaike Onsen, Matsue Castle and Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine each require onward travel from their respective stations. Allow for transfers and walking rather than treating the train's arrival time as your sightseeing start time.
