Rainy-day sightseeing in Tottori City and Iwami

When weather changes your dune or seaside plans, choose sand sculptures, songs and toys, or exhibits on landscapes and wildlife. Compare indoor attractions along with the journey to each entrance and closure days.

Events for your travel date

View sand sculptures at the Sand Museum

Although the exhibition is indoors, temperatures may be close to those outside to preserve the sculptures. Dress for the season even after putting away your rain gear. The museum closes during exhibition changes, so check opening dates before visiting the dunes.

Travel between attractions is outdoors

Indoor attractions near the dunes, central Tottori and Iwami are not in one building or one walking area. Rather than packing in many stops in the rain, choose destinations with the walk from the bus stop or car park in mind. Check your operator's notices for sea activities and sightseeing boats.
